A Citizens’ Committee filed a Notice of Intent to Recall Trenton’s Mayor Tony Mack this morning, at the office of City Clerk Leona Baylor. This is the first step in a long and complicated process to – one hopes – remove this mayor from office.
I agree with them, I will work with them, and (full disclosure) I have met with them. Anyone who has visited this space over the last year does not need to know why I support this effort. Trenton’s problems didn’t all appear out of nothing last July 1, by any means. But they have gotten incalculably worse, despite – rather, in my opinion – BECAUSE of the actions of Tony F. Mack and his crew.
