John McManimon - The Trenton Downtowner and Skydog Media Interview

On March 17, the 27th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place, marching down Hamilton Avenue. For the second year in a row, the parade has been produced by the Trenton Irish Heritage Association, a new organization formed in the wake of the previous group’s decision to take their parade to Hamilton Township.

On February 11, Trenton Downtowner Community Editor Jim Carlucci sat down with John McManimon, one of the principals of the Irish Heritage Association, at his own McManimon’s Pub in the South Ward, to talk about the parade, its history, its finances, and its importance to the cultural life of Trenton.

One Technical note: McManimon’s Pub is a working bar. Throughout the video, you will hear various refrigerators, compressors and the like at different times in the video. Your speakers are perfectly fine!
